Over the last few weeks at work, a lot of people have come and gone. It's always sad to say goodbye to familiar faces, but I'm someone who loves to meet new people. So when newworkfriend Leah asked me to come to Beer and Barbecue festival, I was down. Leah and two other friends from work, Alli & Kelly and I spent hours hanging out on the beach, drinking Virginia beer and looking at all of the different vendor crafts and gifts. We even stopped for some lunch at a great pub that had gator bites! They were chewy but, oddly enough, tasted like chicken. Sometimes, it's just nice to have a lowkey Saturday with friends.
Sunday, David and I slept in, had some breakfast and then drove up to Richmond to see
Wicked! I had seen it a
few five times before that and while it's not my absolute favorite musical, I still really love it. David came with me and while we could really only afford the back of the theatre, he absolutely loved it which made me so happy. I love being able to share things I love with him and liking them in return. Beforehand, we got in town a little early and grabbed a quick burger at a place called
Dash a few blocks away and watched the Richmond bike race fly by. All in all, a great weekend.
